Not quite on form as last week, although not all E's for Ruger! He didn't want to weave first time but when put back was fine, so frustrating. His last run on Saturday was G3 jumping and was a reasonably tough course with turns and needing to listen. He ran a lovely clear to get 7th place, not bad out of 190 entries, and we could have had a better time but he went really wide on at least one turn, but we are in the process of training this, so well pleased with that. He also got best BSD in that class.
Zara managed 2 clears in jumping and agility, in her first show at Grade 5, not placed but good clears.
Sunday we managed one clear each, Zara in agility and Ruger in jumping (15th place)
Ruger also was awarded a lovely trophy for Best Grade 3 BSD on the Saturday.

- I am owned by 3 shepherds! Mawgan is a Belgian Groenendael cross GSD who was born in August 2005 and brought in to Battersea Dogs Home at 9 weeks old. She trained for agility and competed until 2011 when she took early retirement due to hip dysplasia. She has passed her KC Good Citizen Bronze and Sliver awards. Zara was brought in to Battersea at about 3 months old as a stray. She hated being in kennels and showed lots of aggression in her kennel, leading her to be on the pts list as she could not be rehomed. She came to live with us as a foster dog in 2007 and decided to stay here. She is lovely and has grown up to be affectionate and well behaved. She has GSD in her and possibly Tervueren. She has progressed from Grade 1 to Grade 5 in agility . In 2010 she was runner up in the Dog Agility Rescue Dog of the Year. Ruger is a Belgian Malinois, the only dog we have ever planned and bought from a breeder. He was born in February 2010. He is a character and is now competing at Grade 5. when he grows up he will be fantastic. In 2011 he was awarded Best Puppy in Breed at Crufts.
